Hangar¶
The following will present two different approaches. If you have your own industry corporation with access to corporation hangars, things are going to be a lot easier than if you have to share between characters.
The corporation approach is based on my own experience and how I organise stuff, while the character based approach is from a friend.
Character based organization¶
One character should always keep all materials / blueprints and distribute them to the other characters. Having a single one will reduce the amount of searching you need to do for random stuff, it will save you time and your sanity.
You can either distribute the materials via the delivery method, or via contracts, both are valid options.
With the use of containers, you can build something similar to what can be build using corporation hangars. The additional annoyance is the distriution of materials to other characters. CCP please add ACL hangars for characters.

Corporation based organization¶
My organization approach is based on "Project containers". Every project I am working on has it's own container containing all materials needed to build them. Usually this also includes the BPC for the final product, if it's already bought/finihed copying/finished inventing.
The name of the container is a increasing number with a prefix, for example C1000 or F500.
In this case the C stands for Capital and F for Fit.
This allows me to differentiate between different types of projects.
After I bought mateirals, I collect them in a single container together and then sort them into the different containers where they are needed. While it is very pedantic, it keeps things organized, and dealing with leftovers is also a lot easier.

Example Container Layout¶
In a character based organization you would use Containers, while in a corporation you can decide wether to use multiple hangars or containers, depending on your own preferences.
Blueprints -> Stores all blueprints, most times in small freight containers, based on the type of blueprints, e.g. T2 blueprints
Resources -> Stores all ressources
Industry -> Containers for the different projects I am working on, contains all materials needed for that project
C1000 -> All materials for Project 1000
C1001 -> All materials for Project 1001
