Containers

Containers are a great way to organize stuff.

Station Container

There are three different types of station containers: Station, Station Vault, and Station Warehouse Container. Depending on the type you choose, you will have 1 mil m3, 10 mil m3, or 100 mil m3 of storage available. They can only be assembled in stations. After assembling them, no ship can move them anymore until they are repackaged, as their volume is too large for any cargo hold.

Station Containers are a good general-purpose storage. Station Vault Containers can be the output location for Freighters and Capitals. Station Warehouse Containers are good for bulk storage.

Pro: Huge storage space

Con: They cannot be easily repacked, as they have a 3-week log of access. To repack them, the log needs to be empty. Unfortunately, you cannot clear the log manually and need to wait for the 3 weeks to end.

Freight Container

As the name suggests, their main use is to put them into Freighters. There are multiple types available, but due to their size, Giant, Huge, and Enormous Freight Containers are the interesting ones. They have 50k m3, 120k m3, and 250k m3 in storage. Their volume is also the volume when moved into a ship, so a fully cargo expanded T1 Freighter can hold 4 of them assembled.

Unlike Station Containers, they can be assembled and disassembled at any time.

Pro: Good for moving goods in Freighters

Con: Depending on what you need to move, they can get too small at times
